Ti Roberts @tiroberts Bitten By Marketing Bug | BizSugar Blog

The Internet marketing bug bit Ti Roberts early on. Since then, she has come a long way, honing her marketing techniques and refining her business model. And, she has great story about how she got started and became fascinated with building businesses online.

?I first got introduced to internet marketing when I was 19.? I saw a video on YouTube of a girl talking about how to make money online with a cheap $5 business,? Roberts recalls.

Though Roberts? first flirtation with online marketing proved a less than stellar success, she remained undeterred.

?I decided to join her in that business, and even though I?didn?t?make any money, being exposed to the internet marketing concept took hold of me and?I?ve?been hooked ever since,? she remembers.

Roberts has been at the business for a while now, and looks back on her experiences during turbulent times.

?It?s been 7 years since I first discovered internet marketing, and?I?ve?had many up and downs both in my personal life and in business.?

?Being young and immature when I was first introduced to online marketing, I struggled with personal issues that hindered the growth of my business,? Roberts says.??Fortunately, I was able to overcome them with the help of a strong, loving community, as well as by drawing on the personal development and mindset training I was exposed to early on in my internet marketing career.?

Like many small business people beginning in the world of Internet marketing, Roberts would hit some bumps and dead ends along the way.

Today, through her main blog, The Bus Ridin? Internet Marketer, she shares tips for all entrepreneurs on topics like driving traffic and improving Search Engine Optimization. Needless to say, when Roberts discovered BizSugar it was (almost) love at first sight.

?I?ll never forget the morning I checked my email to see several comments had been posted on my first blog post,? she says.??I?d submitted it to BizSugar before I went to sleep the night before.?

At first, Roberts recalls being puzzled.

?I remember thinking to myself, ?I wonder how they discovered my blog???Upon reading the comments I saw that all of them said they?d come from BizSugar.?I quickly logged into my traffic stats and saw that BizSugar had already sent me 60 visitors just that morning and was my #1 traffic source,? she adds.??I also saw that I?d already hit BizSugar?s front page.?I was stoked!?

?The BizSugar community is one of the most engaging and helpful communities I?ve ever been a part of,? Roberts explains. ?I love how tight-knit the community is and how all contributors really seek to help you grow your business.?
