This morning in Paris Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer renewed their rivalry in the French Open final. Spain's Nadal continued his dominance on the clay courts, dismissing Federer in four sets. This is Nadal's sixth French Open victory in the last seven years. Federer fell to Nadal, the top-ranked men's player. He hit more aces and winners but Switzerland's aging champ couldn't find his control and he committed an egregious 56 unforced errors.

The match capped off a magical tournament for Nadal, who hadn't lost a set in his last five matches since outlasting John Isner in the tournament's first round.

On the women's side, China's Li Na defeated Francesca Schiavone to become the first player from Asia to win a Grand Slam event. And after handily winning the first set, Li squandered a 4-2 lead in the second set. Schiavone forced a tie-breaker, but lost seven straight to hand Li the title.

In China, the People's Daily headline read, Li Na Reached the Summit of the Grand Slam. And underneath, a picture of the champion kissing her trophy.
