President's bus tour to make 4 stops in Ohio and wrap up in Pittsburgh

COLUMBUS, Ohio - President Barack Obama's schedule calls for ice cream and grassroots campaigning in a Thursday bus tour across northern Ohio.

His campaign says he will begin his Ohio trip in Maumee, near Toledo, at the Wolcott House Museum. He then stops at an ice cream social at Sandusky's Washington Park, followed by an evening rally at James Day Park in the Cleveland suburb of Parma. The president plans a final Ohio stop at an elementary school in Poland in suburban Youngstown Friday.

Obama spoke at Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) Community College in Cleveland on June 14, while Republican challenger Mitt Romney was in Cincinnati. Romney followed June 17 with a three-city bus tour.

Ohio is expected to be a pivotal, hotly contested state in the November election.

The president will end his two day campaign in Pittsburgh on Friday. He will speak at Carnegie Mello University's campus. The visit coincides with Obama's campaign release of a new TV ad in Pennsylvania this week that criticizes Republican Mitt Romney's economic philosophies.

It will b the president's first bus tour of the 2012 campaign.
